Supplier Code of Conduct

Introduction
Casa di Sassi is committed to conducting business in an ethical and responsible manner. This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the standards and expectations for all suppliers, vendors, contractors, and other business partners who provide goods or services to Casa di Sassi. By adhering to this code, suppliers help us uphold our values and ensure the integrity of our operations.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Suppliers must comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to labor laws, health and safety regulations, environmental laws, and anti-corruption laws.

2. Labor and Human Rights
Suppliers must uphold the highest standards of human rights and labor practices, including:

Prohibition of Forced Labor: Suppliers must not engage in or support the use of forced, bonded, or indentured labor, involuntary prison labor, slavery, or human trafficking.
Child Labor: Suppliers must not employ individuals under the minimum legal working age. Suppliers must comply with all applicable child labor laws and ensure that no hazardous work is performed by anyone under the age of 18.
Non-Discrimination and Fair Treatment: Suppliers must provide a workplace free from harassment and discrimination. All employees must be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic.
Wages and Benefits: Suppliers must ensure that employees receive wages and benefits that meet or exceed the minimum legal requirements in their country of operation.
Working Hours: Suppliers must comply with applicable laws governing working hours, including overtime, and provide employees with rest days and paid leave as required by law.

3. Health and Safety
Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy working environment for their employees. This includes:

Identifying and mitigating workplace hazards.
Providing appropriate safety training and equipment.
Ensuring access to clean drinking water, sanitary facilities, and emergency medical care.

4. Environmental Responsibility
Suppliers must operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This includes:

Complying with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Implementing practices to minimize environmental impact, such as reducing waste, conserving energy and water, and managing chemicals responsibly.
Continuously improving environmental performance through sustainable practices and innovations.

5. Business Integrity
Suppliers must conduct business ethically and with integrity. This includes:

Anti-Corruption: Suppliers must not engage in any form of corruption, extortion, embezzlement, or bribery.
Conflicts of Interest: Suppliers must avoid conflicts of interest that could compromise the supplier’s ability to act in the best interests of Casa di Sassi.
Confidentiality: Suppliers must protect the confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information of Casa di Sassi and its customers.

6. Monitoring and Compliance
Casa di Sassi reserves the right to monitor and audit suppliers’ compliance with this Code of Conduct. Suppliers must provide accurate and timely information to facilitate such audits and cooperate fully with any investigations.

7. Reporting Violations
Suppliers must promptly report any violations of this Code of Conduct to Casa di Sassi. Reports can be made confidentially and without fear of retaliation.

8. Continuous Improvement
Suppliers are encouraged to continuously improve their practices to meet and exceed the standards outlined in this Code of Conduct. Casa di Sassi is committed to working collaboratively with suppliers to achieve these goals.

9. Acknowledgment
By accepting a purchase order or entering into a contract with Casa di Sassi, suppliers acknowledge and agree to comply with this Supplier Code of Conduct.
