How Your Feedback Helps Curate Our Manufactured Stone Veneer Profiles

At Casa di Sassi, our customers aren’t just our buyers – they’re our curators and collaborators. In over 20 years of business, we’ve made countless changes based on customer feedback. Sometimes these changes help us improve performance, and sometimes they directly influence our stone veneer profiles, but they always help us make better products. That’s why we listen closely (and take notes!) when we talk with our customers.
Why Listening Matters in Stone Veneer Manufacturing
Our goal is to create the best possible faux stone products, and we can’t do that unless we listen to feedback. For us, every piece of feedback is a potential opportunity, which also means that ignoring feedback can mean missing opportunities. And the more we listen, the better we get.
Because we treat our customers like family, we also listen to them like they’re family. When you talk with us, you’re not talking to a wall. No matter the type or size of your feedback, we’ll always be here to listen.
Our Manufactured Stone Veneer Feedback & Design Process
When we get a piece of feedback from a customer, we first consider how the feedback could help improve the relevant product. We might also compare it to other feedback we’ve received from other customers on the same product (or similar products). Then, if we see an opportunity for improvement, we start planning internally to turn the feedback into action.
Often, feedback will influence the kind of rock hunts we go on. We’re always on the lookout for new types of stones to replicate, and customer feedback plays an important role in pointing us in the right direction. Feedback can also affect how we produce our current profiles.
From there, we work with our designers and engineers to develop initial concepts that we refine and test out until the results meet our exacting standards for aesthetics and quality. The result of this process is either a new profile or a modification to an existing profile.
From Customer Feedback to Finished Manufactured Stone Veneer
Our Osso colorway is a great example of how we imbue customer feedback into our design process.
The idea to create Osso came from listening to our customers and paying attention to design trends. That’s where we got the idea to design a more minimalist profile. It makes a lot of sense – neutral colors and manufactured stone veneer go together like peanut butter and jelly, and sometimes you want to have some visual interest without going too over the top.
With a rough tonal palette in mind, we set out to find some local rocks to serve as inspiration. We collected a variety of off-white, brown and black stones that formed the basis for what is now our Osso color. By combining our customer feedback with our team’s sharp design skills, we developed a fantastic new addition that we’re proud to offer. Osso wouldn’t have been possible without listening closely to our customers, and that’s exactly why we have our listening process in place.
